I’ve yet to read Sigmund Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams, but I’ve recently interpreted one of my own. I dreamt I was wearing mid-top Nike air maxes with Alfredo sauce laden fettuccine in the place of shoelaces! I wanted to get to a place, but my footwear was loosely attached, and when I tried to tighten it, I unpleasantly slimed myself! I experienced this surreal imagining as distressing, but I’ve since processed it into a useful device. I’ve come to understand this strange vision to represent the aching need for organization in my life plan.
Tie Your Shoes! (Metaphorically)
To make progress in any given direction, an individual must achieve traction. The fettuccine shoelaces of my dream were metaphorical for my current impediments to productivity. A nightmare can be useful in identifying a need so that an individual can meet that need and improve his life. New small-business owners, artists, and creators of all stripes benefit greatly from reliable processes and regular routines. Dependable, implementable means to get people closer to their goals are the antithesis to the sinister fettuccine shoelaces of which I dreamt.
Help Others Do The Same!
As we forge our way in this digital age; we need adequately fastenable laces to make tracks! An ethical, altruistic business goal is to learn to fish so to speak and help others do likewise. Most of us aren’t given an education in personal finance or small business in our schoolings. There is loads of free and for pay “how to” information on the web. This overload often serves as fettuccine shoelaces instead of real ones! With all the great information that exists, there’s still tons of room for us to better help each other. Providing affordable, simple guides to take creators from barefoot to fully laced and up and running will remain my goal for The Think In Your Armor. I hope to see you on the road, minus the pasta!
